Rachel Moore, also known as Moose, is an all-around creative individual. They were exposed to the arts from a very young age, molding them into the person they are today. They mainly focus on fine art and creative portrait photography, but they have a passion for fashion and travel as well.
Rachel started out as a musical theatre kid, then a comic artist and also a cosplayer. She would travel to different anime conventions and dress up as her favorite anime and video game characters. Through her travels, she met various cosplay photographers who inspired her to pick up photography. Throughout high school, Rachel mostly learned videography and cinematography. After graduation, she was gifted her first DSLR camera, and she began her photography journey.
In Autumn of 2014, Rachel entered college at Nashville State Community College as a Studio Fine Art Major. She got to explore photography through some of her classes and decided to pursue her new passion as a career choice. She took a break from school after her fall semester in 2016. She worked mostly part-time, casually doing some photography gigs at conventions and other types of sessions. In 2018, she made the mistake of becoming a licensed health insurance agent and “working” for a company where she wasn’t making any money. After a huge financial loss, and being drained of passion, she decided to quit and go on her first photography tour. She spent several weeks going on her own life-changing journey and started her project Modern Fantasy, which is still in progress.
In 2019, Rachel made the decision to go back to school for her first Bachelor’s degree at Nossi College of Art, where they graduated with the Most Creative Award in 2022.
During their time in school, they were able to acquire photo passes for the Bastille concert in November 2019. They have also done a film residency abroad in Italy for Kino Guarimba 2021, where they spent two weeks creating a short film and spent a whole month traveling all over Greece, Italy and France.
Rachel has also been hired to photograph portraits during the Enchanted Events Ball in London, England in January 2022, and had the opportunity in February 2022 to photograph New York Fashion Week.
Rachel has worked with a variety of clientele such as influencers, circus performers, fashion models, actors, musicians, and more.
